It’s too rare that good business and sustainability go hand-in-hand. This is one of those moments. Infinet Group is excited to announce the ability to repair O-Cell LCD panels, which is essential in re- utilisation and e-waste reduction. With the launch of our Clean-Room Repair Centre (CRC), Infinet Group is paving the way for local, sustainable after-sale solutions for large electronics manufacturers.
The CRC is an extension to Infinet’s already thriving repair centre in Kingsgrove, New South Wales. The services specialise in advanced O-CELL replacement, panel component repairs, backlight and filter replacement and repairs. These services are currently only available to Australian manufacturers through off-shore centres throughout South-East Asia.
From a commercial perspective, the Infinet offering is poised to save electronics giants millions on an otherwise costly after-sale process. Under the current structure, manufacturers are forced to purchase new or off-shore refurbished components for repairs, often wearing the cost of long distance shipping and disposal of the faulty part - broken components often end up as E-Waste - we won’t get started on what this linear consumption model means for the environment. However, Infinet offers the industry an alternative – component repair.
Here’s the brilliant bit – Infinet is able to provide additional services by claiming the manufacturer’s warranty on behalf of the client for the faulty panel. This means that not only does the client leave with a refund on the original panel, but they also come out of the deal with a fully refurbished, as new product which is put back into inventory.
Hands together, ladies and gentlemen for a win for the circular economy!
